On the road again (again)….

Posted by: kari on: September 26, 2010

I’m at the Residence Inn again – only this time I got an even better suite! It’s huge! (Check out the king sized quilt I’ve just finished quilting for my son and daughter-in-law for a feel for the size of the place.)

New room

Living Space

You can see that the kitchen is of a fair size. What you can’t see is off to the left is the cubby for the washer and dryer. The bedroom is the same size as the living room – with two queen beds again so quilts in progress can be laid out and left during the day (can’t risk leaving them on the floor!).

Behind the camera in that picture is the slider and balcony. It’s not a large balcony but it makes a huge window for getting fresh air. It’s some pretty neat views since I’m up high enough to see over the neighboring buildings – well most of them.

The views are spectacular and I’m continually frustrated as I try to capture the colors and awesome views. Sunrise brings completely different colors than sunset, and the other night the moon was bright and full making an interesting counterpoint to the architecture.
