on:I’m in the middle of moving so there isn’t much quilting going on right now. Just finishing up a few things before packing up the sewing room.
I did finish a pattern test piece yesterday before I had to pack up most of the sewing room – but I can’t share that yet but here’s a peek at the back.
I am still working on a hexagon quilt I got at Applique Academy in 2008. The pattern was designed to be used with the rubber stamp to mark the pieces but of course, I printed them all out with Inklingo! This pattern is called Tillie’s Mosaic c. 1820 from Reproduction Quilts.
A pattern that I tested that is now out is called Twisted Ribbons for Arbee Designs. I discovered during testing that not all mistakes are printed in the pattern! Luckily for you, Ruth was able to make sure that you won’t miss the step I did. Mine doesn’t look quite like the pattern – so make sure you peek at hers!
I found the thumb drive where I stored all my quilt pictures while I was packing things so I’ll be able to share several more soon.
I’m looking foward to when the move is over and I can sit down and stitch in earnest again!

on:This quilt is a pattern test I did, but now the book has been published so I can show the quilt. This is from Cary Flanagan’s new book Moon Dance – a Quilter’s Creative Journey. It’s an awesome book with so many possibilities!
Yes, I did use Inklingo for the pinwheels and you could use it for the moon blocks. I didn’t because it wasn’t out yet and there are more variations than I care to mention when talking about this particular block! I used the pattern from the book – and inverted the colors as are normally used (black for the moon and white for the sky).
I promise I’ll share more as I find or take their pictures!
